How Do I Submit A TVET College NSFAS Grant Application

NSFAS Account Funding Application:

  • Create a new account on myNSFAS or make changes to an existing one.
  • Today, go to www.nsfas.org.za.
  • Choose the “myNSFAS” tab.
  • choose “Register”
  • To allow NSFAS to authenticate your information, please tick this box.
  • next input your ID number exactly as it appears on your South African Identity Document in the field labeled (ID). Your full first and last names should match the ID number.
  • Your current email address should be entered in this field.
  • This will validate your email address.
  • Enter the number from your cell phone.
  • Create a password.
  • Check your password a second time and add a photo ID.
  • click “Register”
  • The provided email and mobile number will be sent an OTP that will expire in 24 hours.
  • Click “Submit” after entering the OTP.
  • Your initial registration has been completed.
  • The re-registration process is now finished.
  • Click the APPLY tab to be sent to the online application form.

NSFAS Application Required Documents

NSFAS Allowances At TVET College 2024/2025

The following allowances are provided to students by NSFAS:

Allowance for personal care

Every NSFAS-funded student receives a personal allowance worth R2,900 annually.

Transport Compensation

You qualify for the transport allowance and will get R7 350 year if you reside fewer than 40 kilometers from the college.

Allowance for lodging

Students who reside in private housing more than 40 kilometers from the college should:

R15 750 is awarded to rural students each year.

Per-urban area students are given R18,900 annually.

Urban residents who attend school are given R25 200 annually.

They receive an annual housing stipend of R33 000 while living in the college’s dormitories.
