A government organization under the Department of Higher Education and Training was created by the NSFAS Act (Act 56 of 1999) to provide financial aid to underprivileged students who wish to continue their education at public universities or TVET colleges.

Through the NSFAS program, government assistance is made available to students attending public colleges. This means that if TVET college students meet the NSFAS eligibility requirements, they may submit a grant application. NSFAS strives to provide financial aid for people who want to but are unable to complete their education. Funding for TVET colleges comes from the NSFAS bursary program. Request NSFAS Fund as soon as possible.
