How To Repay Your NSFAS Debt

Due to the fact that the majority of our borrowers are from low-income households, NSFAS repayment conditions are reasonable. Only 12 months after a student has completed their education by graduating or leaving their program is interest levied. In addition to these conditions, repayments begin if a salary reaches R30,000 or higher annually and are determined by the amount that is earned. This indicates that a debtor would begin making payments at 3% of their annual earnings and increase to 8% or more after their salary reached R59,300 or higher. For instance, a recipient will repay R900 annually, or R84 monthly, on a salary of R30,000 annually.
