A copy of the NSFAS for the academic year 2023 is available on the Internet for anyone interested in applying. The 2023 NSFAS Online application will be obtainable up until January 21st, 2023. On September 28, 2022, it will debut. Online applications may be submitted through an NSFAS partner application center, a smartphone, a personal computer, or both. Application Supporting Files for NSFAS 2023

You must have the following supporting documentation before completing your online NSFAS 2023 application:
if requested, a year’s worth of IRP5 or evidence of income.
copy of identification for your spouse, parents, or legal representative
The sole prerequisites for SASSA award recipients are a functional phone number and an active email account. No proof of income is necessary.
a copy of your birth certificate or identification

The Department of Social Development’s Vulnerable Child Declaration and Consent Form must be fully filled out and signed by applicants who are being assessed as Vulnerable Children.

Completed and signed Disability Annexure A Form must be filled out for students with disabilities.

Who Is Eligible for the NSFAS 2024

You qualify for an NSFAS bursary if you are a citizen of South Africa, plan to enroll in school in 2023, or are presently enrolled in a public university or TVET college and meet the requirements listed below.

The SASSA grantee
A household’s total annual income cannot exceed R350,000.
A disabled individual whose annual household income is no more than R600,000
A student whose home income is not higher than R122 000 per year and who started their university studies before 2024
